Florida Theatrical Association – the non-profit presenter of Broadway in Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and Miami – was founded with the charge of educating and developing new theater audiences and encouraging and preserving the presentation of touring Broadway Theater.

With headquarters based in Orlando, Florida Theatrical Association is unique its devotion to cultivating audiences and expanding the cultural and performing arts across the entire state of Florida. FTA continues to advocate for the arts by providing educational opportunities and participating in community events, donating to local charities and other non-profit organizations, and working with Florida schools and other arts organizations across the state ensuring their success. This kind of dedication has been driving FTA for more than two decades. And now FTA is beginning another chapter that will continue to build and strengthen the local arts community in Florida – their recent acquisition of a permanent home.

More than 10 years ago FTA created an endowment with the vision of someday owning its very own home in Florida. FTA’s foresight and prudence coupled with the current economic climate provided the perfect opportunity, and in January of 2010 FTA’s vision was realized with the purchase of more than 20,000 square feet of undeveloped commercial space. FTA has secured itself and its legacy here in Florida through the leadership of its voluntary board members and its current President and CEO, Ron Legler.
